THE IMPORTANCE IN PROTECTING THE PLANET

     The earth is slowly destroyed by our own hands. The irresponsible humans do not even bat an eye on how their actions could damage the planet as long as they can earn money or power. Cutting down the trees, throwing the waste into the river, releasing harmful gases into the atmosphere is becoming a norm for us. We are too flippant in taking care of the planet, as we tend to take things for granted. We should always remember how important it is for us to protect the earth and its ecosystem. 

          

Growing up, I used to think the earth will forever going to be the same. The thought of the planet will be destroyed never cross my mind when I was too naive. Later on, I started to realise how the earth does not revolve around us. We actually need other living things to keep on living. Destroying other living creatures would be a stupid action and we are the ones who will face the consequences later. The thoughts of being able to live comfortably forever might never become true if there are no further actions taken in order to stop all of the disruption caused by us. 

Hopefully, we can stop being so selfish, being too busy chasing our dreams and end up forgetting other blessings in our life. The earth is one of the blessings that we should never take for granted. We need to be grateful by doing our best in reserving the planet, for us and for the future generation.  The government probably have done many events that can help to raise the awareness among the communities about the importance of protecting the planet. If you think you are lacking the awareness and knowledge about the planet, it is okay to learn about them by searching them through the internet. Nowadays, everything is at your fingertips. There is nothing to lose in learning something new.

      Protecting the planet might feel awkward at first, but it is better late than never. It is okay for us to take a slow step in protecting the planet by doing what can be done in our abilities. If you have the privilege to do something better, maximize it for a better future. The future is in our hands. Living in a healthy, clean and safe environment should be our priority. For a brighter future, we should cooperate with each other in saving the planet.
